Director of General Education and Curricular Initiatives - Academic Professional (Open Rank)

OUESS Unit: Undergraduate Curriculum

The Director of General Education and Curricular Initiatives (Dir-GenEdCI) manages and advances the design, implementation, and integration of undergraduate curricular initiatives and academic policies that fall within the purview of the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education and Student Success, typically involving partnership, coordination, or liaison with Georgia Tech (GT) administrative and/or academic units and/or units of the University System of Georgia (USG). These initiatives and policies may involve but are not limited to: General Education/Core IMPACTS, the GLRs, undergraduate academic policies, undergraduate minors and certificates, and dual enrollment.

 

Director of Academic Transition and Learning Communities (DATLC)

OUESS Unit: Office of Experiential and Engaged Learning

The Director of Academic Transition and Learning Communities provides strategic leadership and oversight for Georgia Tech's undergraduate academic transition programs and learning communities. This role is responsible for the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of initiatives that support first-year and transfer student success, including GT 1000 and GT 2000 seminars and the Ignite summer program as well as all academic and institutional matters related to Georgia Tech's undergraduate living learning communities.

Academic Advisor II

OUESS Unit: John H. Martinson Honors Program

The Academic Advisor II will serve as the advisor and a point of contact for students in the John H. Martinson Honors Program (JMHP). The Academic Advisor II will assist with course selection, helping students identify and select experiential learning opportunities, and degree certification. This position will also collaborate with other JMHP staff members on recruitment and admissions, programming, and assessment, as needed.

Academic Coordinator II

OUESS Unit: Office of Student Achievement

The Academic Coordinator II will provide administrative and logistical support to the Office of Student Achievement (OSA). Responsibilities includes overseeing promotional and recruitment events for OSA programs, coordinating the student employee application process, and serving as the first point of contact for prospective and current students regarding academic support programs and services.

 

Executive Director - Honors Program (HP)

OUESS Unit: Honors Program

The Executive Director - Honors Program (ED-HP) will provide strategic oversight and direction for the Honors Program as it assumes a new strategic role and distinctive identity as a premier national honors program. The ED-HP will supervise the Faculty Director of the Honors Program and one or more administrative staff and will oversee faculty in performing their responsibilities for the Honors Program. The ED-HP will also work in close collaboration with the Faculty Director of the Leaders in Progress and Service Quality Enhancement Plan and the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success.
