
David Gaston, Ph.D.
As executive director of the Career Center, David Gaston provides strategic leadership for career services and professional development activities for all Georgia Tech colleges and students.
David holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Kansas. He participated in the Fulbright Seminar for U.S. Administrators through the German-American Fulbright Commission, and he served as chair of the Global Career Services Summit in Toronto, Canada, in 2019.
David has over 25 years of experience leading career and experiential learning initiatives at the University of Kansas and the University of Mississippi, including serving as assistant vice provost for Academic Success and executive director of Career and Experiential Learning. He has advanced efforts in student success, workforce development, and academic administration, taught graduate courses in higher education leadership, and co-authored the Career Ready Guide for CareerSpots, Inc. David also consults nationally on career readiness and experiential learning.
